[MC-160324] Dogs/wolves occasionally get completely black when in water

When I went to drip different ores, I took dogs with me and found a bug.
She changed the texture with gray wool to completely black.
And I have exhibited detailed dynamic lighting. And if you put a torch, then everything falls into place.
But still, fix the bug, otherwise it's creepy.

There is another ticket about this: MC-4618 which has been resolved as WAI. However, I don't believe that it covers the completely black dogs as well.

@@unknown, in the attached screenshot is there a block emitting light nearby or is the light coming from the torch in your offhand (due to a mod, e.g. OptiFine)?
If so then that might actually be MC-105248 / MC-165362
