[MC-17016] Sign still appears in hand when placed

When you place a sign(only one in the stack) in Survival or Adventure the item still appears to be held even though it is already placed.

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

It's a matter of lag.
Cannot in fact reproduce in my 1.8 test world, but can reproduce in a new amplified world.
Sign in hand does not disappear after a (few?) second(s), look at the timestamps of the screenshots.

Doesn't seem to be. My flat world always reproduces it and I left it a bit, didn't go away.

Confirmed in 1.8-pre3, sign disappears from hand immediately after clicking "Done".
