Teleport anybody that dead and unrespawned ...
This is a big problem for redstone system that use deathcount scoreboard to teleport after respawn with deathcount scoreboard detection and after, if the teleportation was succesfull, reset the death counter. Teleportation should only be possible if the player is not dead and online

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version 1.7.2 / Launcher version 1.3.4 ? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.
@Skylinerw: This is really interesing because this part is and is not related to that bug.
The part related is about dead players, but the difference is that you relate to a teleportation to a dead and unrespawned player, not of a dead and unrespawned player.
For the part that concern us here, I've haven't tested, but the point here is what did return this command when dead ?

With on Searge's response here, and that @a will now target dead players correctly (including with /tp), this is essentially fixed. @p should be used instead in order to not target dead players for teleportation (and can increase number of players to target with the 'count' parameter), while @a can be used as intended for targeting dead players.
teleporting at deathcount change is not a good solution, it's better to put a spawnpoint above a trigger (pressure plate, tripwire or command blocks selectors on a specific area) and then teleport them when you want, depending to their scoreboards
