Clones MC-170898. Hoglins and piglins are the only nether mobs that are not fire resistant. Probably might have something to do with the this.isImmuneToFire
line being set to false
in the code.

Flowing lava can also spawn above the crimson/warped forests. Meaning that it would make sense that these two mobs should be fire resistant to any hot fiery blocks. It would make a huge inconsistency to other mobs that inhabit the nether though it's possible that the hoglins and piglins are slightly not fully implemented yet as they are missing the feature of them not being fire resistant.
Still in 20w08a
There is no reason as I know of that that ALL nether mobs must be fire resistant, this simply makes no sense. These two are of a specific nether biome(s) as well. Not so long ago the undead mobs had changed to sink in water where none did before.
The nether has been a world known for more danger than the overworld since it was introduced. To introduce mobs in the nether with risk of dying in the nether barring being attacked just seems weird
Can anyone confirm that this is still an issue in 20w09a?

It's still very much present in 20w09a. Unknown if works as intended still; Piglins and Hoglins take fire, lava, and magma damage. Zombified Piglins however do not.
can't say that i'm happy with this being an intended feature, it makes fixing pigman gold/xp farms trivial and soul fire almost useless
It also doesn't make sense since if piglins are a nether mob, why are they vulnerable to one of the biggest dangers in the nether when every other nether mob isn't?
EDIT: Wait i already said this
It makes sense to me. Hoglins are technically a food source in the nether which if you have a fire aspect sword, a flame bow or flint and steel the food will already be cooked. I don't know for the piglins however.
True that previous nether only mobs are fire resistant. Yet I see this not as a bug since the new biome is (part of) where they spawn.
