Spruce generation is broken

The bug

Spruce trees are broken. Not only that they are broken when grown by saplings (MC-177412), they can even generate naturally in broken state.

How to reproduce

  1. Start a new buffet world using following biomes: Mountains, Taiga, Giant Tree Taiga, Snowy Tundra or Snowy Taiga

  2. Wander around
→ ❌  Spruce trees can generate very small or too big.

Too small - it is just 3 or 4 logs with less than 10 leaves on it

Too big - large spruce tree with even 4 tiers.

Not only that, spruce tree generation in general has been derped up. I attached some screenshots of spruce trees that have seen better days.

Not gonna lie, those trees look pretty cute

Can someone please reopen MC-177412?  That one is a separate issue

This bug was not fixed in 20w22a! I still see super tiny spruce trees in my world. Should be reopened.

Probably this was an area that was generated before 20w22a. For me, the generation works normally

It's not. I also created a new world and saw a tiny spruce tree. This bug is not fixed. Created MC-187208.

Confirmed not fixed in 20w22a.

Single Biome Snowy Taiga
Seed: 7097036058955889265
Coordinates: /execute in minecraft:overworld run tp @s 51.14 71.00 20.64 -210.75 18.00

Still not fixed. There are 2 spruce tree with "4 tiers" that still exist. Use the seed 48548231851577625 and run the following command:

/tp @p -398 76 -161 180 0
/tp @p -731 82 735 180 -8

These trees never existed in 1.15.2, after exploring a taiga for 15 minutes. If these trees no longer spawned, this would definitely be fixed.

I have found an incorrect spruce tree. Should create a new ticket? These small spruces do not generate anymore, but 4-tiered still generate, though very rarely.
