Netherite tools and armour burning in lava

Hi there!

It's possible that the pickaxe could've despawned. Do you think that you might've spent at least 5 minutes trying to recover the item before you finally got there and found it was missing?

I died in the nether, respawned at my base and went back straight away. It was a max of 2 minutes, but most of that time, the chunks i died in were unloaded.

I am unable to reproduce this, was there any explosion after you died around the area?

there was no explosion. from what i understand, bedrock is also having some issues with this. i am unsure whether it is because i am on a server, although no one else was online other than me, so the chunks were not loaded. i tried it in single player and did not have this issue. only on the multiplayer server

i have done some testing, and i dont think it did burn in lava, in a creative mode on the server i tested it and the pick didnt burn, but it somehow got stuck on the soul sand under the lava and would not float up to the surface
