It's expected that Hopper and Minecart with Hopper are treated the same by the Piglins. But when a player opens a Minecart with Hopper, the Piglins are provoked, unlike when a Hopper is opened.
What I expected:
Piglins don't attack me when I open a Minecart with Hopper.
What actually happened:
They attacked me.

hmmm...that's doesn't make sense, but it shouldn't be reported as a "BUG". You should go to the suggestion page.
It is indeed a bug, since normal hoppers aren't affected.
Probably it has something to do with minecarts with chests codes.
