[MC-201262] Grass block top texture has not changed in the Texture Update

This seems especially odd given that an updated grass block top texture existed in the Texture Update resource packs - was this eventually decided against?

How is this not a feature request? Not all textures were changed in the texture update, and just because one of them was not updated does not make it a bug.

Because a grass block top texture was explicitly included within the prerelease texture packs, yet never actually made it into the game.

The pack at the time was still in early development, and received many changes over the course of that time, and in the end, not all textures were changed, including the grass block top texture, which simply did not make it into the final version.

In early Texture Update versions for 1.12 it actually was given a new texture, however since it looked flat it was reverted. If it was simply brought down to 5 or 6 colors it could work, though.
