When an Amethyst Crystal Cluster is pushed directly by a piston (not on a block that is being moved by a piston but being directly in front of the piston face), crystal items drop however the block is not actually broken.

All you need is a silk touch pickaxe and some redstone, but it's not enough for infini-amethysts
