Copper cannot be used as a beacon material

Copper blocks (at any stage) don't function as a beacon base, and copper ingots cannot be used to select powers. Every other metal in the game can, so why not copper?

Can be fixed easily by simply adding minecraft:copper_block and its aged, waxed and aged waxed variants to the #minecraft:beacon_base_blocks tag.

How can this be a feature request if the exact same ticket for netherite was considered valid?

Only the regular copper block and its waxed and weathered states would be added, the cut ones are obviously decoration oriented.

Jack McKalling, simple solution, only have the regular Copper Block function for a beacon base (including its wethered/waxed states) i.e. the cut and stair variants wont work.

Anyways, from a players point of view, it makes no sense that it does not work when the other metals do, so ofcourse players expect it to work for a beacon base and therefor this should be a valid bug report and not a suggestion.

redstone blocks also can't be used as a beacon material, so why would copper have to be that?

because redstone is quite obviously of less value
