The bug
The log pillars which are supporting the mineshafts since 21w06a are generating above stalagmites. This looks really akward and the log pillars should replace the pointed dripstones.
How to reproduce
Use the Single Biome world generator with the Dripstone Caves biome.
This may take multiple tries to reproduce (see MC-240271).

Hi, this issue still appears to be present in 1.18.1, therefore I'm requesting for this ticket to be reopened. 🙂 You can use the information provided below to reproduce this.

I was able to reproduce after a few tries. Recreation of this issue is inconsistent due to MC-240271.
Yes, sorry, my apologies. I forgot to mention in my comment above that due to MC-240271, this may be difficult to reproduce as a result of the inconsistent dripstone cave decoration placement, as @unknown already stated. Nonetheless, I can assure you that the issue is still present but may take multiple attempts of creating the world and entering the appropriate information. Sorry for the inconvenience! 🙂
