Abandoned Mineshafts don't delete dripstone in certain situations

I noticed this while playing in a single biome dripstone caves world. Example is in the seed, at coordinates 667, -80.

I can reproduce, but not at the given coordinates for that seed. I could reproduce by going to 957, 33, -706 instead (same seed).
