[MC-216013] Light Level (bug)

There are absolutely no light sources in this (survival) screenshot, yet the light level is very high. Is this intentional?

edit: I dont think I was using any mods, but i did turn up the gamma setting, but this did not affect any of my previous worlds in earlier snapshots. I didn't use a night vision potion.

edit: It was the gamma setting. This bug has been resolved.

have you been using any special clients previous to this hacked clients or anything with fullbright as these can change your brightness cross versions

Did you changed this option called gamma in options.txt to a very high number?

I'm quite certain that this isn't a duplicate of MC-214860. Instead, what is your brightness (in video settings) set to? Also, did you happen to be using and mods when this issue occurred?
