[MC-22870] Carpets taking on sound of block below them.

Jumping on carpets will play the wool footstep sound as where walking on carpets will play the sound of the block below it.

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

Still occurs in 1.6.2.

Carpet sounds are still missing and they definitely used to be there. Now walking on carpet you hear the sound of whatever block it is placed on. Please fix.
