Minecraft lagged out on me(which it never does) when creating a customized superflat world when editing the superflat preset to be different blocks.
*What I expected to happen was minecraft to run normaly at about 25-30 fps
*What actually happened was when I started up my custiomized superfalt it started lagging out to 0 fps. I tried restarting minecraft multiple times and no changes.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Get Minecraft Pre-release 1.4.2 or 1.4.1.
2. Make a superflat world customizing the preset with different blocks.
3. Minecraft will start lagging out at about 0-2 fps

I reported this a few bugs ago 🙂 Deffo worse on Superflat with custom blocks (any but mine has a lot of pure ore levels in it FYI). This has been the case since at least 2 snaps before 1.4 pre. I'm on Win7 SP1, 64bit Java (latest, but happened with the previous install too), 4 GB mem, i3 cpu.
This lag happens to me too when im using (2;7,2x3,2;1;village,stronghold,mineshaft) superflat world it is so anoyying

1.3.2 runs smooth, but starting from at least 2 snapshots before the 1.4 pre-release I've had a hard time playing some superflat maps.
Normal maps play fine, no more lag than usual and no eventual crawl. Some of the presets for superflat also have no issue.
Try the 'Overworld' preset though, and you may experience lag. The lag leads to eventual crawl which leads to items not being placed in chests or your inventory properly.
I will try different combinations of features when I have more time and report which features are causing the lag.
Let me be clear again - 1.3 ran fine on superflat, the normal superflat runs fine on my 1.4.x, but it is certain features of other presets and custom maps that is causing the lag. My computer runs MC fine 99% of the time.
