Any chat input (including commands) limit at 256 characters

If you try to type any chat input (even commands) that has more than 256 characters, you will not be able to. This can cause craziness involving command blocks and player's commands.

This is probably not a feature request, since this makes no sense for singleplayer.

The 256-character chat limit is intentional, to prevent extreme spam. If you need to type a longer command, use a command block.

Unfortunately, this makes no sense for Singleplayer, it should be only intended for multiplayer.

Singleplayer is just a 1-man local server.
And having it different from servers is only more confusing than having the same limit on both modes.

No. We would be able to only crash multiplayer servers if there was no limit, but it is impossible to crash singleplayer server, therefore meaning that chat limit on Singleplayer is unintentional.

You may not have known. singleplayer uses a way of open and join in multiplayer server.

singleplayer = open multiplayer server and join(If you check the Minecraft log, you can understand this method.)

In other words, the singleplayer server crashes enough.

I don't live in an English-speaking country. I hope you can understand what I'm saying.
