What I expected to happen was...:
I expected the geode to be covered in stone, but it was totally uncovered
What actually happened was...:
Geode fully discovered in cave
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Enter in an map in this pre release
2. find an cave, then find an amethyst geode
3. Probably the geode will be discovered
World creation:
World type: Default
Generate structures: On
Bonus Chest: Off
Seed: in an print
Coordinates: In an print

Geodes don't have a layer of regular stone around them, this is normal.
You might be mistaking this for the Stronghold structure, which DOES generate stone around to conceal it!
We do not have enough information to reproduce this issue.
Please provide the following information about the world you are playing in as text. Attaching a screenshot showing them is not enough.
World Type:
"Default" if you have not chosen one when creating the world.
For "Superflat": Additionally provide the generation preset.
For "Buffet": Additionally provide the generator type and biome you have selected.
Additional generation settings (in case you changed them): E.g. "Generate Structures", "Bonus Chest", ...
Seed: Can be obtained by using the
/seedcommand and clicking on the message in chatCoordinates: Can be copied to clipboard by pressing
F3+C
