I tried out the new world generation today, and found some rather peculiar sights, specifically regarding the Plains biome. From my experience, they appear to be way too hilly. (see attachment plains.png)
I tested other flat biomes such as Snowy Plains and Sunflower Plains, but these seem to be unaffected. Although I did find some hilly areas in these biomes as well, but these seemed to be the exception, rather than the rule. (see attachments)

Hm, that kinda defeats the whole purpose of biomes :/ In Practice that just means every biome will be a jumbled mess of hills, even Plains biomes, that are supposed to be flat.
Except for the fact that the terrain generation usually picks a proper biome for it; you made a single biome world, making the terrain generator ignore that it doesn't match. In a default world, you aren't going to find plains from windswept/shattered terrain.
I found such hilly examples in a Plains biome in a normal world as well, that's why I tested it in a single biome world to get more examples. Also, as seen in the attachments, snowy- and sunflower plains are unaffected, it's just the normal Plains biomes that have these enormous mountains in them.
