[MC-251670] Villager sometimes won't refill their stock

So I was about to making a village & doing some trades, but for some reason, most of my villager don't refill their stock, I waited 4 in game day wasn't able to buy stuff or sell stuff to get emerald (they have access to their profession block & a bed)

I don't know but strangely my cartographer is still working , everything worked fine in the 22w18a

I tried also on a new world , same result

I also have this issue, although my villagers do not have beds. I tried removing and replacing the workstation blocks, and noticed that the villagers are not "claiming" them – e.g., the green particle effect does not appear. They may have lost their association to their workstations. The villagers also do not periodically "work" their workstation blocks since the 22w19a update. Confirmed with a brewing stand, grindstone, smithing table, and blast furnace.

All my villager have bed on my side only they can't move around (3x3 house) only carthograph work

Same for me. It seems as if old villagers don't want to claim workstations, but jobless villagers can claim workstations as usual. Don't know if they will lose it later haven't tested it yet.

I created a trading hall. Villagers lost claim to workstation, unless you created new villager. You can trade with villager until they reached Master statis, and all trades were used, then they would not refresh trades.

Did a little bit of testing and I believe the issue is that villagers wont assign to new workstations after they have been traded with. A villager that i had mastered in a previous version would not assign to its job block after I broke and replaced it. Went into a creative world and villager's job blocks that I didn't brake restocked, but other villagers refused to reassign to a job block

After testing I found out that villagers seem to lose their "minecraft:job_site" memory under certain conditions. One of those conditions seems to be exhausing their trade option at night.

I created an enclosed room with a bed and brewing stand in center. Created a villager in creative mode and vaited until he claims the stand. Trade zombie flesh at day until trade is locked → restocked normally, memories intact, RestocksToday is 1.

Awakened him at night and traded until zombie meat trade is blocked again. Waited about 10 minutes → "minecraft:job_site" memory is gone from his entity data, RestocksToday is still 1.

Can confirm, villagers who have lost their job site memory in 22w19a are still not remembering it in 1.19 pre-1. Manually adding their job site back to their memory via NBT editing causes them to immediately work as soon as the game is loaded and the time of day in the working period of their schedule.

My farmers aren't restocking. They restocked fine while they were leveling up, but when they got to diamond level, they stopped. And it's not just that I moved their workstation (although I am having a problem where, if their workstation is broken, they'll never pick a new one), they just stop. I tinkered with them in a testing world. Farmer villagers that had never had their workstations moved restocked fine until they hit diamond level, then stopped. My fletcher and my cleric are working fine, thankfully.

It started in 22w19, and is now continuing in 1.19 pre-1.

In my case villagers lose their minecraft:job_site memory when they level up. As far as I can tell the green workstation claiming particle effect also periodically appeared despite them not gaining a new job site.

Edit: Looking into it more, I can't figure out the exact trigger. Turning villagers into zombie villagers and curing them also made some lose their job sites but others keep them.

Thanks. After some tries, my farmer finally restocked. It looks like, there can't be anything directly above composter. And I'm also not sure from where got my farmer full pockets of wheat seeds as he was previously farming carrot only.

Got the same issue on mine. Half my villagers won't refresh their trades even though they're standing right next to a workstation with their path blocked to other workstations. I have one villager who had a trade, broke his workstation to reset him back to a normal villager, then he won't pick up a new workstation even though it's been more than an in-game day.

In my case villager neither find their station nor aquire a job. I have some that had jobs before the pre release, and those still can replenish. But a villager whose station i broke and returned could not find it again.

Please open this issue its still not resolved due to the fact its still happening I cant trade with all my villagers still its happening in Single Player and Multiplayer

Fletchers, Armorers, Toolsmiths and Weaponsmiths are still affected by this issue

It's fixed in a 1.19.1 development version, not 1.19, for cured ones. See MC-252439.

Answer to leahocloacal: those are different issues. Because I have a large village operation i seem to find that, from time to time, certain villages loose their stations. I just break the station and put it back, and that usually resolves the issue. It's annoying, but I would say that has to do with the nature of java. I still will take it over bedrock every day
