When the player is attacked by a mob, you can hear the "Armor clanks" sound effect.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Have any armor equipped
2. Spawn or find a hostile mob and let it attack you.
Observed results:
When that mob attacks you, you can hear the "Armor clanks" sound

Only the "Player hurts" sound should be heard

frustrating, because the original "glitch"- {}not hearing armor equip when equipping through the inventory- was hardly an issue and more like a harmless long-standing quirk of the game

Issue can also be reproduced by collecting experience orbs while wearing damaged armor enchanted with Mending
