In un-modded Vanilla Minecraft 1.192 (and other versions) the edges of blocks including but not limited to leaves, cobbled deepslate, rails, vines, grass, glass, and many others flicker. The flickering is very distracting and makes for an unpleasant game-play experience. Video and screenshots attached.
System Specs:
OS: Debian 11 Bullseye
Kernel: 5.10.0-17-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 5.10.136-1
CPU: Intel i7-8700k
GPU: NVIDIA GTX 1080-ti
Driver: Nvidia Proprietary (not Nouveau) version 515.65.01 (happens on any and all versions)
PSU: Seasonic FOCUS Plus Series SSR-650FX 650W 80+ Gold
MOBO: ASRock Z370 EXTREME4
SSD: WD Black SN850 M.2 NVMe SSD
Monitor: ASUS VG248QE 24" (running at 144hz, happens at 60hz too)
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 64GB (4X16GB) DDR4 3200
I've included video and screenshots of my F3 screen as well as the nvidia-settings application.
I've tried:
enabling/disabling vsync
enabling/disabling/adjusting anti-aliasing/anisotropic filtering in nvidia-settings
raising/lowering mipmap levels (per the suggestions here: MC-1794)
changing graphics from: Fast, Fancy and Fabulous!
raising/lowering chunk/simulation distance
adjusting Max Framerate
adjusting game and monitor resolution
toggling Full Screen and Window (smaller window doesn't help)
Installing Windows 10 with latest drivers, motherboard firmware/bios, updates, etc, nothing helped.
Upgrading nvidia drivers
Trying "enhancement" mods like Fabric+Sodium and Optifine
decreasing particles
loading older versions of the nvidia drivers
different monitors

What about MC-234358?
While I've also encountered the lines reported in MC-234358, my report is different. Blocks in my game flicker and shimmer, I'm not sure how to describe it exactly which is why I uploaded the videos. Look at the leaves in the trees in this video: 2022-08-29 10-09-30.mp4
Does MC-122092 describe your issue? The videos are still available for viewing.
