MC-262071

Massive amounts of terrain were raised into the sky, forming a wall. The land looked to be part of the biome, except it was raised massively, creating a sort of "half-mountain."

What I expected to happen was...:
I expected the land to be perfectly normal and level.

What actually happened was...:
Large amounts of land past a certain point were raised significantly higher than they should be.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Simply walk in a certain direction.

2. Eventually, you will see the land after a certain distance.

It should be noted that the world I encountered this issue in was not new.

This is not bug, this problem occur when you upgrade your world to newer version.

This was only fixed for 1.17 -> 1.18 and later; this is an artifact from upgrading many versions ago.

It's not reported though MC-1794 is in the pic.

Is there any way to fix it? When I upgraded the world to 23w14a (the snapshot before this one), this problem did not occur at all.

This isn't an bug, your world is just corrupted because you made a huge leap in minecraft versions causing new chunks that you haven't loaded to load new chunks from your current version.

That flat piece of land your standing on is NOT a new chunk. You've generated that chunk before, therefore it will not be touched.
