Lever texture mapping is wrong on sides of cobblestone base

The bug

The way in which the texture is mapped on the thin sides of the lever base element is wrong. For example, if placed on the floor, the mapping starts from the top of the cobblestone texture when it should actually start from the bottom.

How to reproduce

  1. Download and apply the attached "mapping test" resource pack

  2. Place cobblestone

  3. Place a lever on the floor

Expected results

The blue stripe on the cobblestone of the lever should appear closest to the floor.

Actual results

It appears farthest from the floor.

How to fix

An incredibly easy fix. Fixed model files are attached, as is a resource pack that applies them. Mojang have my full permission and encouragement to use these,

Comments 3

Please do not file bugs which are clearly an opinion. Thank you.

I fail to see how this constitutes an opinion at all. The texture mapping was correct up until levers were made to use a block model in 1.8, and the texture was applied incorrectly. This also makes them inconsistent with buttons, fence posts, stairs, and many, many more blocks which have correct texture mapping.

Requesting review per @unknown's comment; was a change in 1.8 that was unannounced and makes it inconsistent with other things; not an opinion.
