The Bug:
Menus are forcibly closed when the player dies or changes dimensions.
Steps to Reproduce:
Get two players and label them "Player A" and "Player B".
Have "Player A" obtain a sword and get "Player B" to switch to survival mode.
Get "Player B" to open any options menu, for example, their accessibility settings menu.
Get "Player A" to kill "Player B".
Take note as to whether or not menus are forcibly closed when the player dies or changes dimensions.
Observed Behavior:
Menus are forcibly closed.
Expected Behavior:
Menus would not be forcibly closed. The said menu should remain open until it is manually closed.

It appears that all menus that can be accessed via the ESC key while in-game are affected by this issue. What menus do you believe aren't affected by this problem?
I was planning on reporting something similar like a month ago, so i can confirm this. You can also reproduce this by creating a world, open to LAN and stand inside a nether portal while having the pause menu opened.
You could do that or else trigger some command block that teleports you to another dimension while having any menu opened.
Relates to MC-252089 and MC-253107.
