Breeze idle animations are different than Bedrock Edition

The Breeze idle animation is less "active" on Bedrock than Java. This can be observed in multiple ways:

  • Head bobbing frequency is about half on Bedrock compared to Java

  • Tornado moves in an even square on Bedrock while it moves diagonally on Java

  • Tornado frequency is different on each platform

The Minecraft Wiki page for Breeze has an excellent direct comparison. The attached animated renders are taken directly from there.

To Reproduce

1.) Look at a stationary Breeze on Java Edition. Observe the speed of its head bobbing and the breadth of the tornado wind movement.

2.) Look at a stationary Breeze on Bedrock Edition. Observe the speed of its head bobbing and the breadth of the tornado wind movement.

Expected Result

The Breeze idle animation is identical across both versions.

Observed Result

The Breeze idle animation is less dramatic on Bedrock compared to Java.

Confirmed! Also is related to MCPE-180022.

Not a duplicate! This report is for Java Edition while the one you linked, which is also linked in the post, is for Bedrock Edition.

This is common for parity reports when it isn't clear which version is "correct".
