I hear you! That's unfortunately going to break many existing resourcepacks, it needs to be carefully planned with many parties. We can't say when this will happen, but if we get a feature request and many votes that will help us prioritise things further in the roadmap.

We've discussed internally and have decided to undo the changes we've made to the mirrored mob parts, as it is the current art direction to keep both limbs the same. We view that this works as intended.

The sugar cane saturation is similar to the item icon, and similar to real life. If we desaturate the colors it will look too dull. Works as intended
