Hello, Mojang and those who read this!
I was trying to boot up a world in 1.0 to play an older version of Minecraft (like people do sometimes), and when I loaded the world, everything seemed... off. The textures of everything, blocks, items, even the GUI. It was all just one color. This happens for every version up to 1.8. What is really strange is that in the versions before Minecraft 1.0, this glitch/bug doesn't occur. (like in beta 1.8.2). Is there any way I can fix it? (I'm sorry I lied about the version, but the version I want to talk about isn't listed :/)

We're actually already tracking this issue in MCL-22662, so this ticket is being resolved and linked as a duplicate.
