Items spin slowly despite high tick rates

When turning the tick rate to a very high speed, items don't spin as fast, yet other entities move very quickly.

How to Reproduce:
Set tick rate to something high, like 5000 {}(/tick rate 5000).
Drop an item.

Expected Result:
The item spins very quickly.

Observed Result:
The items spins with its usual speed.

Hello Paxagon!

The reason items spin at the same rate is because their spinning is handled separately from the tick speed of the rest of the world. This is completely intentional and not a bug, but if you think it should be in the game, suggest it in feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us.

Thank you!

P.S. Try sending a video next time instead of an image. I can't tell how fast it spins if it's stationary XD

Hello ChappJack!

I didn't realise items were seperate from the rest of the world, but since items are also entities, I guessed that maybe they were treated the same. So I guess this bug Works as Intended?

P.S. I know about the image - I tried to take videos for all my bug reports but my game recorder kept glitching out. This was the best I could do. 🙂

Have a great day!

in-game entity and block animations are supposed to slow down with tick rate lower then 20, and remain the same with tick rates above 20. Item spinning is not its movement, which would be affected, just the animations.
