I noticed when wearing earphones, the sounds appear higher pitched and of lower quality. This happens to me especially if I play versions 1.20.2+ of the Java Edition up to the latest release. I tried to change earphones but nothing, the problem remains, I tried to reinstall the drivers of my PC or update them, but nothing, this did not solve the problem.

Of course, what do I record them with Audacity?

Can you please attach a video showcasing the issue/bug, and its always best to test different kinds of earphones as
@unknown mentioned, they may differ.
I have reported the videos showing how the audio changes with earphones in 1.20.1 and in the latest versions. If you want other videos trying other mc sounds I'm at your disposal

This is caused by directional audio being turned on.
Thank you for your report!

Directional audio is disabled in the settings as seen in the videos
Yes, the bug is that despite it saying "OFF" in the settings it's actually always on. See MC-265514 for details.
I noticed that if I use earphones that connect via the PC jack cable, the sound does not lose quality, while if i use bluetooth earphones or USB type c earphones sound loses quality
Hi zGolden, would you mind testing with different kinds of earphones to confirm that the ones you are using aren't the source of the issue? Thanks!
