When landing a hit at the last couple of seconds with a mace enchanted with Wind Burst, the player does not get boosted up into the air.
Steps to reproduce:
Get a mace that's enchanted with Wind Burst.
Trigger the Wind Burst effect by hitting an entity from 4 blocks high.
Hit the entity at the last second possible
Observed result:
The player lands on the ground.
Expected result:
The player is boosted into the air.

This should not have been marked as Invalid, charged attacks are not required to do smash attacks. The bug in this report is true, attacking at the last possible second with a Wind Burst mace will perform a smash attack but fail to launch the player.
Yeah, this is the main crux with the mace. Based on when you time your hits, either you still perform damage and do a smash attack, but you also take damage (usually killing you with no protection) and have the wind burst effect or it fails, or you manage to kill the entity, smash attack activates, but the wind burst effect fails.
You need a fully charged mace attack for the enchantment to be working. In the second video, your attack meter isn't full when you attack the spider. In the first video, the wind burst enchantment shouldn't have taken effect, see MC-270158
