The Bug:
Ender Pearling at the Dragon portal sends you to world spawn if thrown at a certain angle even if you have a respawn bed in the overworld.(Minecraft Realms)
Steps to Reproduce:
- Place a respawn bed outside the portal leading to the stronghold portal and sleep in it to set your respawn point.
-Walk to the Dragon Portal and throw the pearl at a certain angle(I am assuming at an angle so that the pearl doesn't collide with anything in the portal evident from the lack of damage I am taking after pearling)
-If you throw it an an angle where your pearl collides with nothing before it enters the Dragon portal it will teleport you to the world/seed spawn.(evident from the lack of damage I take in the first clip - No I did not swap or destroy the respawn bed)
-It will teleport you to your bed if it collides with something before or after the toss (damage taken due to the pearl landing on a collision object)
Observed Behavior:
When it doesn't collide with the insides/outsides of the portal(pillar or the borders) it TPs you to world spawn( I am assuming the lack of collision detection leads to this behavior)
Expected Behavior:
It is supposed to teleport you to the bed outside the portal where you have initialized your respawn point.

When an ender pearl goes through the exit portal, it is teleported to the world spawn point, lands on the ground there and teleports you there instead of your bed. If you throw an ender pearl into the exit portal and you are teleported to your bed, you have experienced MC-196556, since the ender pearl hit the block below the portal, teleporting you into the portal and consequently at your bed. This bug report is therefore a duplicate of MC-196556.

This isn't a duplicate, more like a request for end portals to work like end gateways with regards to ender pearls.

I just don't think it should teleport you to world spawn at all when you have a bed to teleport to, it seems pointless

I apologize for saying it was a duplicate, I just didn't know what to conclude after my previous comment. In this case, this will probably be counted as a feature request. I tested it and can confirm, so let's see what Mojang's opinion is on this.
