Snowy village animal pens are guarenteed to be unable to hold animals due to waterlogged stair pond

naturally generated snow village animal pens are unable to hold any animal. whoever designed them made them 1 row too small on one side of the animal's drinking pond (the water logged 4 stairs).

I've seen a few animal pens in other villages that have only a chance of Hay Bale placement allowing for animals to eascape by climbing over them, but the water logged stair pond in snow villages isn't a chance to be too close to the fence, its a guarentee to allow for animals to climb out. please fix this oversight.

Would MC-140398 describe you're issue?

in every snow village animal pen / fenced in area for animals; there is 4water logged stairs, like a makeshift drinking troth for the anmals, located inside the fenced in area ecactly two blocks away from the fence with only one block of space between the fence and it. this makes it not a chance, but guarenteed that very animal pen that is located in a snow village is unable to contain animals. they just walk over the fence every time. i could under stand the occasional chance hay bales(s) that causes the same effect in other villages, but unlike them, this is a guarenteed placement in a bad spot.

no, for snow villages its 4water logged stairs, like a makeshift drinking troth for the anmals, i could under stand the occasional chance hay bales(s) that causes the same effect in other villages, but unlike them, this is a guarenteed placement in a bad spot that allows them to walk over the fence. 100% chance of them escaping, lower it to like a chance of generating in such a bad spot, like the hay bales, rather than be guarenteed. XD

I've found 2 spots where its possible for mobs to escape. The one with the smoker makes it possible for any animal to escape, but the one with the snow pile always makes it possible for horses to escape. The pen with 4 water logged stairs doesn't make it possible to escape (from what I have tested).

they always escape on my end (third pic).

As Bansed mentioned, I am also unable to reproduce the setup with the water pen allowing for mobs to escape. (Using /tick sprint to speed this up also did not help)
The one block gap seems sufficient enough to keep the mobs in. Can you send a video of this issue occurring for you?

nope the water logged stairs pen, third pic posted on this report. it is exclusive to snow villages, and every pen that has the water logged stairs has it guarenteed to generate one one block too close to the fence.

in every other case, sometimes a block like a fenced in haybale will generate too close to a fence block that animals will escape and other times a block won't, its fine as percental occurance.

However, the water logged stairs one need to be one row bigger on the side closes to the fence block, as any generated pens of that type are a guarentee that the structor is unable to succesfully contain animals, as they just use the stair block to walk over the fence block that is too close.

As the mod said, please provide a video of the mobs actually escaping that pen; nobody is able to reproduce them walking out.

The pathfinding AI will not jump across gaps, nor pathfind to an area they cannot step up to, even if the hitbox size is big enough.
