Creaking heart is in spawn eggs tab, while infested blocks are in functional blocks tab. Both of them are blocks and they can summon some mobs, so they should be in the same tab (or both in spawn eggs and functional blocks tab).

Items like the frog eggs and sniffer egg are both blocks that spawn mobs and they are in the natural blocks tab. It is comparatively unusual to have a block inside of the "spawn eggs" category (excluding the *spawn*er blocks). This also relates to MC-277128, though that issue was understandably resolved as a feature request. I would argue that MC-278057 should be the considered option here, rather than moving infested blocks to the spawn eggs group.

WAI is not an acceptable solution for this problem. So Creaking heart will be the only craftable item in spawn eggs tab! How ridiculous it is!
After consideration? Without any consideration! Spawn eggs tab should not contain any craftable item. Please reopen this ticket immediately.
I believe the reason about the creaking heart being in the spawn eggs tab is because it summons a
creaking_transient
, which is a different kind of entity than acreaking
(summoned by the proper spawn egg).Silverfish already have a proper spawn egg, and silverfish from infested blocks spawn the same entity. If anything, creaking hearts should be in natural blocks or functional blocks tabs.
