Wolves always jump way too early when pursuing a mob, causing them to miss many attacks. (jumping actually slows them down as they are in the air) To fix this, either make wolves faster when jumping or make them jump when they are actually close to the mob.
Also, when wolves jump, they seem to lose their focus for a brief moment, their head returning to a neutral position instead of being fixed on the target.

Skeletons and wither skeletons run from wolves, but when the wolf tries to attack, they jump into where the wither skeletons used to be a few seconds ago, maybe the wolves need to recognize the entity, not the pos list
