As of right now, leaf litter generates in excessive amounts, both decreasing immersion and variety in biomes such as forest and dark forests.
A proposed fixed for this would be to decrease their intensity and maybe localize them into bigger areas in order to make room for both leaf litter free and leaf litter filled areas within these forest biomes.

Please revert this decision. This could very well be a bug considering similar reports exist, such as MC-279237 and the one that reported that leaf litter cannot be placed on any block other than grass. The feedback site is impossible to reach, and it’s difficult to get one’s voice heard in the discord server.
Not a bug as MC-279488 was valid and fixed.
