Hopper minecarts glitch when pushed along a curve by a furnace minecart

The bug

If a furnace minecart is pushing a hopper minecart through a powered rail (turned off) when it tries to turn, it glitches.

How to reproduce

  1. Put down a few powered rails and don't turn them on

  2. Put down two normal rails to make one turn

  3. Place another few powered rails beside the other powered rails to make another turn

  4. Place a furnace minecart with a hopper minecart in front of it

  5. Start the furnace minecart

Cannot confirm.
The furnace minecart pushes the hopper minecart around the u-turn. See screenshots.

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version 1.7.2 / Launcher version 1.3.4 or later? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

Confirmed when placing blocks at the curve.

Confirmed for 16w42a.

To reproduce, set up as shown in third picture, surrounding the rails with blocks.

Confirmed for 1.13.1.

Can confirm in 20w51a.

Can you still reproduce this in the latest version, 24w04a? I cannot seem to, as the minecart makes it around the bend as expected:
