The world seems to be generating like an Amplified world-type dispite it being a regular Multiplayer map.
Seed: 4929779908565412268 Coords: x=4212 y=147 z=-1971
It's in a Savannah Plateau M biome. Lots of floating blocks and extreme Y changes. There are a few places where blocks generate past y=200. A ton of Grassless Dirt and naked Stone also generates here.

So it's just one really sick seed? XD I kind of thought so but it just looked way to weird to be normal generation.
I've found Savanna Plateau M in multiple seeds now, and they're all around 200 high in height. I'm not sure it's intended, but I really hope they keep it, as it looks awesome and certainly worthy of being a rare variation.
However, it's not the case that it's being affected by the amplified code, as this biome attempts to be much higher when you do an amplified version of the same seed, except that the build height limit prevents it from going above 256. You end up with a very flat top of stone at 250. Raising the build height limit does not change this. If the Savanna Plateau M height is intended to top out at about 200, then they need to fix it so it can generate above 250 on amplified when the building height is raised above the default.
One of the seeds I've been using: -1236150180
Coordinates: x:10700, z: 11600
Thank you for the information. I didn't really know how to word this in any other way other than AMPLIFIED. Personally, having Savanna Plateau M biomes at this ridiculous of a height "breaks" the flow of land and could seriously lag lower end machines.
This is a special variaton of the Savanna Plateau, called "Savanna Plateau M". Special variations tend to be unnormal.
@Galaxy_2Alex:
That's correct, it's the one and only purpose of variations to look different than the normal biome. Btw., y=147 seems to be absolutely intended and is far away from the heights seen in Amplified Mode (where mountains reach y>230 most of the time).
Confirmed, but looks intended.
