When you make a bubble column made with soul sand, and place a block above the soul sand (in the video I placed it 5 blocks up), if you were to place a gravity block under the block, it will behave strangely, clipping through the block, bouncing through the water, and teleporting down. I would expect the gravity blocks to sit under the placed block like a player or mob would, but they didn’t. They also seem to follow some sort of pattern, since both blocks placed did the same motions at the same time. (Sorry for the laggy video, here’s a better recording: https://youtu.be/d9kkO0milSc)
To reproduce
Make a soul sand bubble column at least 2 blocks tall
Place a solid block at least 3 blocks above the soul sand
Place a gravity-affected block (eg. sand, gravel) underneath the block you just placed
❌ Observe that the falling block entity phases through the block above it periodically before it eventually drops as an item
Can confirm.
