If minecraft is left running and the the computer is suspended (sleep mode), when you resume the computer (turn it on; wake it up), minecraft is often visually very broken.
I accidentally suspended my computer by pressing Fn+ESC, which apparently suspends the laptop, without first leaving the game. When I turned my laptop back on, it showed a weird mixture of the title screen, multiplayer menu, and game icons.
Environment
My laptop is a Dell XPS L702X laptop (about 14 years old) running Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS
The monitor is 1600x900.

If You are using add-ons Could You list them all ?
What Graphic Card do You have?
Could You uninstall the Launcher, delete .minecraft folder (copy its content elsewhere before deletion) and then reinstall, restart your computer. Then please try to boot the Launcher.
