When you place blocks on certain blocks like grass or fire, these blocks get replaced by the block you place in the place. Even the replaceable blocks can be replaced by other replaceable block, but liquits like water and lava doesnβt have that ability, they will be put next to the replaceable block like it is a normal block. This behaviour is very inconsistent.
