No one can join servers that are on version 1.16 and below. This has caused many headaches today and there has been no acknowledgment of the issue. I have a server that is on version 1.12.2 that I am unable to access.

das gleiche Problem habe ich auch. Nach langer Zeit habe ich gestern mal wieder einen Server erstellt. Zuerst konnte ich auch joinen. Seit etwa 15 Stunden geht nichts mehr. Es kommt immer die Fehlermeldung, dass der Server gewartet werden würde.
Ich hatte schon an mir gezweifelt. Ich hoffge es geht bald wieder…..
Yeah, its really everyone playing on older versions. Reddit and some discord servers I’m on offer some temporary solutions but none of them worked for me. Probably more people should report it here so people who can actually fix it become aware.
According to gaminggeek.dev on the Minecraft discord, this is caused by the new certificate on sessionserver.mojang.com who’s CA isn’t included in the JRE versions shipped by the official launcher. Downloading the latest java 8 version from https://adoptium.net/temurin/releases?version=8 and selecting it in the launcher solved the issue for many users.
Would updating the java 8 version used in the official launcher be an option?
