Baby mob names have been inconsistent in the last snapshot according to in-game subtitles. Kittens are referred to by their new names according to the latest snapshot showcases video, but wolf pups are referred to as “puppies” (possible mistake?) while the other baby animals with new names in the video (namely calves, mooshroom calves, lambs and piglets) still use their old names in the subtitles (baby cow, baby mooshroom, baby sheep and baby pig). Some mobs like rabbits and ocelots don't even get new names in either.
