The "Rotate with Minecarts" toggle does not rotate the player's view when spectating another entity until the view direction is changed

The bug:

The "Rotate with Minecarts" accessibility setting does not properly rotate the player’s view when in spectator mode and spectating another entity, until that entity changes its viewing direction.

Steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Create a world with the “Minecart Improvements” experiment enabled

  2. Enable "Rotate with Minecarts" in accessibility settings

  3. Ride a minecart with rails that have turns, notice that the view is properly updated

  4. Spectate another entity riding the minecart, the player’s view within the entity does not respect the setting (it will appear to work properly after the entity changes the direction its looking at)

Expected result:

The player’s view of another entity riding in a minecart in spectator mode should respect the Rotate with Minecarts setting.

Actual result:

The player’s view of another entity riding in a minecart in spectator mode is not respected by the Rotate with Minecarts setting.

Note:
When you are in an entity in spectator it locks on to their perspective. Not yours. I believe this is intended.
-If you spectate a player in a minecart then it will rotate if the player in creative/adventure/survival has the feature on. Again, this is because it is their perspective and not yours.

@kyleisNOTmyname the issue here is that the rotation starts working once the entity in the minecart looks around, notice how the villager was properly following the rotation until I stopped spectating it, then it returned to its old behavior.

I see what you mean now. However, upon further testing the behavior appeared to be the same for me regardless of whether or not “Rotate with Minecarts” was on.

I will say that the direction the villager is facing is an issue given they don’t normally rotate like that without a spectator in them, but I don’t think it’s dependent on the setting as well as this doesn’t seem to happen unless it is a small square like in the video. I built a larger track with multiple turns and did not experience this issue with that.

Note: This also appears to happen, albeit less, in a world without Experiments from my testing.

I can confirm as well.
