The bug:

Since 26.1 Snapshot 7, player models do not appear behind the spectator mode’s 3rd person head view.

Steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Ensure Improved Transparency is off (default setting)

  2. Create a multiplayer world

  3. Go into third person view (f5 by default)

  4. Go into spectator mode

  5. Observe other players do not appear behind your head in third person when in spectator mode

Expected result:

Players will be visible behind your head in spectator mode

Actual result:

This appears to also affect mannequins, and not happen with mobs.

This issue likely applies to other major parts of the game, for example, the wind animation around a Breeze also does not render with Improved Transparency off.

Can confirm as of 26.1-snapshot-7.

Likely partially relates to your other report MC-306396
