The arms of baby zombies and other variants don’t move while holding an item if moving or being hurt. All of their other animations of their arms seems to work as normal such as attacking and using spears.
NOTE: this only affects the baby zombie variants as their arms move similar to the player’s arms when holding items and also a new issue presumably introduced in the snapshots for 26.2.
adults zombie variants are NOT affected since they don’t move and swing their arms similar to the player as they are always outstretched forwards in a sleepwalking-like style and has been like this for a long time.

This issue is not exclusive to baby zombie variants, and does not require that they be holding items.
i think you have have misunderstood the issue here, ManosSef. this issue IS exclusive to baby zombie variants holding items. adult zombie variants have always been like this because the hold their arms forward and i doubt that’s a bug and that might be why you think it also affects adults too.
what i meant is that arms of baby zombie variants assume the pose and movements similar to the player’s arms while holding items and the issue here is that they are stationary because they don’t raise their arms out like adults. my reason as to why adults aren’t affected is because they have their arms out. it would not make sense to have adult zombie variants swing their arms up and down so weirdly when they already hold their arms out sleepwalking style.
Can confirm for 26.2 pre-release 4. It’s not like they behave correctly in 26.1.2 either, they don’t have a chasing animation at all.
