The bug:
Lowering screen distortion retains the warp effect speed. Not consistent with Bedrock , which had MCPE-239555 got resolved Works as Intended for unknown reasons, making a parity issue. The animation intensity still goes down as intended, itβs just the animation speed that is an issue.
Steps to Repro:
Give yourself nausea effect: /effect give @s nausea infinite 1 true
Pause the game, and then go to accessibility settings
Change the value of screen distortion slider to 50% or 25%, then resume the game
Observe.
Expected results:
The speed of the warp effect should become much slower, matching Bedrock Edition. Parity is the goal.
Actual results:
The speed of the warp effect stays the same.
Parity note:
If MC-308711 is intended, MCPE-239555 must be reopened to avoid such an intentional parity difference.
Thank you for your report!
After consideration, the issue is being closed as Working as Intended.
Please note, that mechanics of the game may change between updates.
Things such as graphics, sounds, world creation, biomes, redstone, villagers, and animals may not work the same in current versions.
