Several media keys now map to "Not Bound" on Windows and Linux

Tested on KDE Plasma 5 using Wayland.

Following today’s snapshot’s switch to SDL3 for handling input, several keys found on foreign keyboards or multimedia keyboards (for example the Mail key on my Cherry DC 2000) now produce “Not Bound” when attempting to bind game controls to them, even though things could be bound to them in the previous snapshot.

A Python script is attached to this ticket which can be used to simulate key presses for those who only have access to a standard keyboard, or those who wish to test rarer keys. Example command listed below:

./simulate-keys 'sleep 2' 'press 140' 'sleep 0.1' 'release 140'

The value “140” can be replaced with another number to simulate the pressing of a distinct key. The following is a list of all values I can confirm produce Not Bound on my end, followed by their evdev names:

101 KEY_LINEFEED
112 KEY_MACRO
132 KEY_FRONT
140 KEY_CALC
141 KEY_SETUP

235 KEY_DOCUMENTS
236 KEY_BATTERY
237 KEY_BLUETOOTH
238 KEY_WLAN

240 KEY_UNKNOWN
243 KEY_BRIGHTNESS_CYCLE
244 KEY_BRIGHTNESS_AUTO
245 KEY_DISPLAY_OFF
246 KEY_WWAN
247 KEY_RFKILL

Expected result: for each of these, attempting to bind a control to them would result in that control actually being bound to that key.

Actual results: attempting to bind any controls to any of the listed keys instead unbinds them.

Can confirm.

This isn’t actually a state of the control not being bound, the control is bound to a “Not Bound” (key.keyboard.unknown) key instead. You can still use any key that is recognized as “Not Bound” for the given action. For example, you can bind “Not Bound” to Jump, and then jump using any key that isn’t recognized, such as KEY_MAIL.

This was “fixed” in 26.4 snapshot 2, however it caused something even worse (MC-312500). I’d recommend marking that as a related ticket.
