Flowers created with bonemeal are procedurally spawned

I'm not certain if this is intended or not, and I think it's great that flowers spawn in clusters upon world generation, but I thought I'd post this just in case it is indeed a bug.

The flowers below were created by hand-bonemealing the ground, removing the grass with MCEdit and repeating to show the pattern. The biome is FlowerForest.

I'm curious - there are a number of videos on YouTube where the person mentions and/or complains that they have issues getting the new flowers in existing worlds / rendered biomes, even if that biome "should" support the flower type.

Is this still a concern in the latest Minecraft version 14w02c? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

Confirmed for 1.7.5, 1.7.9 and 14w17/8a. Most likely intended.

Confirmed in 1.8.1-pre3, new screenshot attached
