Twitch - live black screen

I get that also on Mac OSX Mavericks 10.9
When i stream from my Windows Laptop it is fine.
However it did load at one point on my mac but froze on the 2nd Frame during this video:

Yeah, sometimes one frame appear with ultra-low quality and freeze...

I have the same issue. On my Retina display the stream works, but it is very gittery, so I switched over to my Hackintosh that has no problem running any mac app at all, and thought the it would do better with a better GPU streaming instead, and it gives me a black screen. Cleared caches, even changed which GPU MC is launched with and its all Black screen.

Twitch reports a "Excellent" stream quality, audio works fine, just no video. Hope it gets sorted soon.

13w48a you mean? I think Grum means that the issue is on twitch side...however streaming with Wirecast works perfectly fine so I doubt it's on twitch side but with Mojang own implementation.

Interesting thing: streaming in 1080p works (with Mojang implementation) but not in 720p on my side (but my upload speed can not handle 1080p streaming 😃).

Still not resolved in 13w48b. Am also able to stream with other programs, but the hassle of the multiple programs needed with a Mac make this far more appetizing. Makes me wonder too though that it is an issue on the Minecraft side and not the Twitch side.

This is probably a problem from Twitch itself, in it's website etc., and therefor can't be fixed by changing the Twitch API in Minecraft itself.

Well finally 1.7.3 pre-release fixed the issue for me!

Working for me in 1.7.3 (on OSX 10.9 - Mavericks) as well, this is a great day.
