When on top of slime blocks and in third person view, the inside of the blocks render kinda weird. When I jumped onto the slime block, I didn't expect to see the inside of the block. I actually expected the slime block to be bouncy and to launch me high... 😞
Steps to Reproduce:
Toggle third person view
go on top of a slime block.
The parts of slime blocks also render out of order when in the player's hand.
Steps to Reproduce:
Apply a solid texture to the slime, or use the debug pack
Hold a slime block in your hand
This bug also affects other semi-transparent blocks.

Confirmed

Reproduced in first person.
I've experienced this too in all F5 views as well.
Another example: http://gfycat.com/GraciousSophisticatedConch
This happens to me too.
But I should add that this only happens between the player model and the camera:
from behind: every slime block behind the player
from the front: every slime block in fron of the player.
Still in 07a
confirmed for 08a and 10b/c

...and water. I believe there was a separate ticket for water, but I can't find that right now.

I just noticed the later issue (MC-50129) is a duplicate of this one. It is more descriptive of effects and better maintained though.

@@unknown: I made you the reporter of this ticket, so you can maintain it. @@unknown: Please comment, if this is a problem for you.

I've attached a debug pack which shows the issue better by applying a solid texture to the slime block. It also shows another affect of the issue, which are the rendering issues in the player's hand.
@@unknown I don't feel like the reporter right now, you might have forgot to confirm the change.

@@unknown: Sorry, did announce, but not perform... Done now.

Alright, I've added in the in hand part of the issue. If the issue remains for awhile, I may also modify the original text slightly.
Dupe of MC-9553

Not really. That issue is about effects (particles, world border, items, clouds) rendering in the wrong order compared to blocks, while this one is about blocks rendering in the wrong compared to each other or the parts of themselves.
The mods at that issue have also already stated that issue covers way too many issues which all are all likely to be fixed independently (such as particles have been fixed now), so I doubt they will want to merge in another slightly related issue
Confirmed for 1.8.4.
Confirmed for 1.8.7. Probably caused by the camera being 'inside' the slime blocks because it thinks they're transparent.
Weird... this has started to happen in first-person mode in one of my worlds too, even when I stopped having a slime block in my hand, and the world started to lag on loading as if the glitch was corrupting my world. THe more the game lagged, the more slimeblocks began to look messed up.

I updated the debug pack version number, so it does not complain of incompatibility.
Confirmed for 15w41b in first person, but isn't this a duplicate of MC-9553? (oh, I see someone already said that)
Actually, I don't see why not.
Confirmed in 16w20a.
